
Our goal is to listen to the student body and impliment suggestions in building campus pride. We are always happy to hear from any student and their Booth Experience.
Position Descriptions
President
1. To call and preside at all meetings of the Student Association.
2. To be an ex officio member of all Student Association committees.
3. To hold membership on the Faculty Council.
4. To hold membership on the Student Appeal Committee.
5. To decide on all questions of parliamentary order.
6. To confer Monthly with the College president on his/her designate.
7. To confer bi-weekly with the Dean of Student Development or appointee pertaining to matters concerning the Students Association.
8. To bring student concerns to the attention of the Dean of Student Development.
9. In the absence of any officer of the Student Association, whether due to resignation, or vacating of office for other reasons, the responsibilities of said officers shall be assumed by the Students Association President or representative appointment of the President until such officer is elected by the Students Association.
10. To conduct all the elections in accordance with the election by-laws unless running for re-election, at which time he/she will ask the S.A. Advisor to appoint an impartial electoral officer to conduct elections.
11. To submit to the Students Association at year’s end, a report reflecting his/her term of office.
12. To forward all official documents and correspondence pertaining to his/her office during the school year to the Student Association President Elect at the end of the term of office. (NOTE: All regular correspondence is to be kept to a minimum of three years and all financial documents are to be kept on file for seven years).
Vice President
1. To call and preside at all meetings of the Student Association.
2. To hold membership on the Community and Spiritual Life Committee.
3. To formulate an agenda for posting at least twelve hours prior to the regular meeting of the Student Association.
4. To be responsible to the Students Association President in all matters regarding to the Students Association and to submit to the President weekly reports.
5. To confer monthly with the Dean of Student Development.
6. In the event that the position of Students Association President is vacated before the end of his/her term, the Students Association Vice-President shall fill that office, and call an election for the Students Association President.
7. To submit to the Students Association President at the conclusion of each semester a written report reflecting his/her term in office.
8. To forward all official documents and correspondence pertaining to his/her office during the school year to the Students Association President Elect at the end of the term.
Secretary
1. To cooperate with the Students Association President in all matters regarding the Students Association.
2. To be responsible for all Student Association minutes and agendas and their distribution.
3. To be responsible for all Student Association minutes and agendas and their distribution to the officers and the Dean of Student Development.
4. To post the agenda and minutes for all Student Association meetings.
5. To post monthly calendars of Students Association related events.
6. To prepare all official correspondence concerning the Student Association in cooperation with the Students Association President.
7. To be responsible for the maintenance of the Student Council office and filing system.
8. To submit at the conclusion of each semester a report reflecting his/her term of office to the Students Association President.
9. To forward all official documents and correspondence of the Students Association to the Students Association president Elect at year’s end.
10. To forward all official documents and correspondence pertaining to his/her office during the school year to the Students Association President Elect at the end of the term.
Activities Coordinator
1. To coordinate and maintain activities for the Students Association.
2. To call and chair regular meetings of the Activities Committee.
3. To confer biweekly with the Dean of Student Development.
4. To confer monthly with the Students Association Vice-President and the Director of Spiritual Life.
5. To organize two major Students Association events per semester.
6. To be responsible for additional events and functions at the discretion of the Student Association President.
7. To report monthly in writing to the Treasurer all monies received and disbursed and make suggestions as to budget for the following academic year.
8. To submit to the Students Association President at the conclusion of each semester a written report reflecting his/her term of office.
9. To forward all official documents and correspondence pertaining to his/her office during the school year to Students Association President Elect at year’s end.
Commuter Representatives
1. To cooperate with the Students Association President and the Director of Community Life in matters pertaining to commuting students.
2. To report to the Student Association all matters regarding commuting students.
3. To report to commuting students any matters arising out of the Student Association which concern them.
4. To hold membership on the Activities Committee.
5. To promote school spirit and encourage participation in Students Association activities.
6. To call a meeting for commuting students if a matter should arise concerning those students.
7. Responsibility of Commuting Representatives may be expanded as needs arise at the discretion of the Students Association Vice-President.
Class Representative
1. To coordinate with the Student Association Vice-President in all matters pertaining to their respective classes.
2. To report to the Student Association all matters regarding their respective classes.
3. To report to their respective classes any matters arising out of the Student Association which concern them.
4. To hold membership on the Activities Committee and to plan activities for their respective classes.
5. To promote school spirit and encourage participation in Student Association activities.
