What Are Learning Outcomes?

The next time you find yourself taking a certain course for your degree, ask your professor about how the course contributes to the established Learning Outcomes of Booth College. Learning Outcomes are educational goals designed to meet specific educational needs. Learning outcomes are knowledge and abilities that students need to enter any career or vocation, to be productive citizens in an ever changing world, and to develop themselves as human beings and life-long learners. Additional learning outcomes may be established at the program and course level. These Learning Outcomes ensures Booth College fulfills the promises set forth in its mission statement. College wide learning outcomes define the measurable expectations of student learning throughout the college curricula.
