Graduates of Booth College will be able to demonstrate an awareness of and appreciation for a range of creative arts, interpret their meanings and express creativity and artistry in their academic work.

• Investigate how artists use metaphor, symbol, juxtaposition and other means to convey meaning.
• Describe how art can teach us about ourselves, other individuals and the society in which it is created.
• Identify artistic elements that can provide meaning for human existence.
• Explore various forms of art (e.g. visual, poetry, music, prose).
• Identify appropriate methods for understanding and interpreting the aesthetics of various works.
• Write critically about works of the imagination, basing ideas on evidence found in the works and in the cultural contexts of the works.
• Explain how various art mediums can evoke various reactions.
• Evaluate artistic presentations using appropriate language and patterns of thought.
• Use art tools, technology, forms and methods in their own expression.
• Reflect on their experience of the relationship of art and worship.
